What Is AdunDance Flow?

Abundance flow is freestyle dance movement that can help anyone, anytime, anywhere. But what exactly is it? And dow do you do it?

AbunDance Flow Explained.

Abundance flow is the practice of free form and authentic movement. There is no teacher, leader, or dance moves to follow. All movement is improvisational, meaning there is NO right or wrong way to move your body. 

In a nutshell, you move your body however it feels called to respond. You could even roll on the floor if it feels good to you!

How Is It Transformative?

Conscious movement connects your mind and body with the present moment. Why is this important for your mental wellness?

We have each gone through our own experiences that can leave us disconnected from our souls. Traumas, both huge and small. Mental illness such as depression and anxiety. Physical ailments. Abuse. Body and self esteem issues.

After these experiences, we feel stagnant and stuck because we have actual negative energy in the form of trauma stuck in our bodies.

Traditional talk therapy focuses on releasing trauma from the mind, but ignores trauma held in the body. Dance + meditation allows for releasing that can heal both the mind AND body while you're having fun moving.

How Does it Help Heal Trauma & Illness?

Abundance flow allows you to move through and release the stuck energy. This is accomplished by what is called ‘embodiment meditation'.

During embodiment meditation, you become present with the emotional feelings and energy surrounding these traumas and allow them be processed out of your nervous system through movement. 

How To Use AbunDance Flow 

We start each dance practice with intention setting around what we want to focus on/achieve internally with our dance. This practice is through a short guided meditation. 

Once you have your intention set in your mind, you simply respond to the music and move your body however feels good to you. It sounds very simple, but don't doubt that there is transformation in simplicity. 

You may be surprised by what thoughts, emotions, and feelings will surface during your practice. Allow those feelings to come up and continue moving through them. This is where the true transformation happens!
